RepairClinic.com Makes a Difference at Make a Wish Radiothon: Appliance Parts Company Contributes both Manpower and Money for a Great Cause

CANTON, MI - October, 2008 -Repairclinic.com (RCC) had the privilege of being a part of The Make-a-Wish Foundation’s Radiothon sponsored by Detroit’s WNIC radio (100.3) and Macy’s at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI.  The appliance parts company provided employees with call center experience to man the phones and take donations during the event from 2pm t0 6pm, Friday, September 12, 2008. 



The Foundation reached their goal of $51,000 allowing them to grant 6 wishes to children with devastating health issues. The fundraiser setup included tables with displays from the Make-a-Wish Foundation, along with giveaways from various sponsors, and, of course, the huge platform with Kevin O’Neill and Theresa Lucas broadcasting live from WNIC radio.  Every hour or so, the radio personalities interviewed a Wish child describing what their wish was; a few even talked about trips and wishes they had already received.  The stories were very touching, and contributors were inspired to give even more.  
According to Chris Hall, RepairClinic.com’s President, “Our company became involved when our internal Community Development Committee identified the cause as an important one in the community offering hope to children dealing with serious illness -- we were very proud to be a part of this worthy cause.”  Hall personally attended the event and provided a live interview on WNIC, the sponsoring radio station.  Then he and the other RCC volunteers formally presented a $2500 check to the Make-a-Wish Foundation (see photos).
