GET YOUR AIR CONDITIONER AND DEHUMIDIFIER READY FOR SUMMER
[Tips from RepairClinic.com]

Air conditioner maintenance tips
In preparation for the cooling season, clean the condenser coils on your window or through-the-wall air conditioner. Remove the entire cover of the air conditioner to gain access to the coils. Watch out for wasp or bees nests inside the unit.

The coils can be cleaned by blowing compressed air at them or by using a soft bristle brush to wipe the dirt off. While you have the unit open, be sure to clean any dirt or lint build up in the bottom of the air conditioner, and oil the motor if it is equipped with oil ports on the sides.

Now's a good time to clean or replace the air conditioner filter. Depending on the air quality, this may need to be done monthly throughout the cooling season. If you need to replace the filter, try our electrostatic filter cut-to-fit material, which will fit many air conditioners.

Dehumidifier maintenance tips
Get your dehumidifier ready for the cooling season. Check to see that the humidistat is set correctly. If you set it too high (low humidity), the unit may run continuously, which is unnecessary. Try our hygrometer to determine the correct setting for your humidistat.
